INNOVER-EAST held its 1st Policy Event on 8 July 2015 in Yerevan at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia to present the first results of the national studies on energy efficiency innovation and its bottlenekcks – compiled by the project.
The results were presented and discussed by EU and EaP experts during the one-day event accompanied by the introduction of some other projects aiming at increasing the level of innovation in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries of the EU.
The Policy Event was followed by the 2nd Project Meeting of the consortium the next day and preceeded by two other event organized jointly with the INCONTACT 2020 and INCONET EaP projects.
The series of events was launched by a Horizon 2020 Info Day on 6 July 2015 focusing on Energy and Environment. The Info Day was open to all the researchers and stakeholders and one workshop especially targeted local National Contact Points from across the Eastern Partnership to inform researchers about funding and mobility opportunities under Horizon 2020, and to facilitate their participation in European collaborative projects. In addition to give a general overview of Horizon 2020, the Info Day provided specific information on the opportunities for EaP with a special focus on Energy & Environment.
The Info Day was followed and completed by an EaP NCP Training Day on 7 July 2015 where freshly appointed NCPs were also invited to benefit from the presentations and useful, practical hints to help their everyday work. Topics included: how to write a successful European proposal, technical and financial management of EU funded projects, inrenational cooperation possibilities completing H2020, researcher’s mobility.
The series of events was attended by participants from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
